The St. Mary’s Lady Knights varsity volleyball team is off to a great start in the 2022 season. The Knights are currently 14-9 (4-3 in region). The Lady Knights took home their first region win against Saguaro High School on Sept. 12, defeating the Sabercats 3-0. As of Sept. 22, junior Shelbie Lemm is leading the team in kills (180), and senior Zoe Rideau is leading the team in blocks (22).
On Sept. 21, the Lady Knights took on the American Leadership Academy Patriots. After dropping the first two sets, the Knights powered back with victories in the final three sets (winning the fifth set 15-13).
The Knights are currently ranked #18 in 4A. The Lady Knights are 3-2 in Region
On Oct. 17, the Lady Knights brought home a big region five-set victory over Mesquite High School, with a score of 15-11 in the final set.
