Fall 2021 Kairos
Kairos
Are you looking for an opportunity to deepen your relationship with God and develop a few friendships with classmates (all while enjoying a few days off from school)? If so, Kairos is definitely for you. The Kairos retreat – put on twice each year (during the fall and spring semesters) – is an incredible experience for everyone who attends.
As Coordinator of Campus Evangelization at St. Mary’s, Mr. Santana organizes and runs the Kairos retreat; but the team of student leaders who attend the retreat is in charge of the actual activities. This dynamic of a primarily student-run retreat creates an awesome environment for new friendships to form and for established friendships to flourish.
Mr. Santana recommends that all juniors and seniors “prayerfully consider going.” Most, if not all, of the students who have been on Kairos strongly recommend it to their peers, and many go back on future Kairos retreats as student leaders. It is almost always a very positive experience for anyone who attends, no matter where they are in their relationship with God.
Any interested junior or senior should ask Mr. Santana for a Kairos application. (It takes about 15 minutes to complete.) The next Kairos is coming up November 15-18; so, get your application completed today!
Campus Ministry Opportunities
There are many campus ministry opportunities available for all students looking to become more involved, including sophomores and freshmen. Mr. Santana is looking for students who are interested in participating in the Arizona Rosary Celebration on October 16th. It’s a procession in celebration of the rosary and all students are encouraged to attend. Students who are not able to attend the celebration are invited and encouraged to drop off anonymous prayer intentions outside Mr. Santana’s to be dedicated at the celebration.
